Our Logo "Sunny Bird Rentals Ltd." is on both front doors.
Our company has no private cars (number plate starts with "P").
All persons claiming otherwise have nothing to do with Sunbird (Sunny Bird Rentals Ltd.).

Please note: "Jeep Fans' love this car. It's not suitable for families with kids who need child seats. You cannot leave any items in a Jeep due to the removable top

Car rentals to remote areas:

Pick up and drop off of your rental car due to insurance reasons directly at our Sunbird office or at the airport.
Our comfortable transfer service takes you to our agency located close to the capital (shops of all kind/banks at a distance of 5-10 minutes)

Costs:
Castara and surroundings: US$ 7.50 one way
Charlotteville and surroundings: US$ 12.50 one way

CDW available at additional US$ 15 per day

DEPOSIT: the deposit of US$ 500 can be settled by credit card (Visa or Master only) no money will be transferred from your account. It's a simple business security feature in case of an accident. The deposit can also be settled by cash or travelers cheques, which you get back when you return the car.
RENTAL FEE: you pay after signing the contract. Payments can be made by credit card (Visa or Master only), US$ travelers cheques or cash.
REFUND: in case the rental rate or part of it has to be refunded it will be in TT$ CDW: a CDW does in general not waiver the ENTIRE maximum excess amount it only REDUCES it. This policy applies for every rental company by varying amounts. A CDW with SUNBIRD HOLIDAYS reduces the maximum exces amount by half.
GENERAL TRINBAGONIAN INSURANCE POLICY FOR CAR RENTALS:
Up to 2 drivers can be stated in the rental contract
All drivers have to be over 25 and under 65 years of age.
They must have a driver's license since at least 2 years.
Your national driver's license is sufficient up to 6 weeks.
If you stay in Tobago more than 6 weeks you need an international driver's license in addition to your national license.
An international driver's license alone is not sufficient.
The local police as well as the insurance companies do NOT accept copies or faxed versions of a driver's license. You have to show the original version.
